If you are looking for something fun to do and don’t mind a little slobber then Hartwell Wildlife Safari is for you! You can take the bus through, drive your own vehicle or we HIGHLY recommend renting one of their vehicles for $20 more. The vehicles are very gnarly but well worth it to keep the slobber and feed out of your own car. These do not have air conditioning so consider going early in the morning before it gets too hot. We went on a cool day in the Spring so we didn’t have any issues.
We saw plenty of emus and ostriches. The Scottish cows have ridiculously long tongues and the bulls don’t take no for an answer. There was a particularly friendly llama that followed us for quite a while and a handful of other fun animals. The best part is that it’s only 5 miles down the road from our house!!
