Downtown Hartwell

If you’ve never been to Hartwell you need to take some time to visit downtown.  While vacationing here a few times last year we visited several places downtown and instantly this place felt special.  Some of these places deserve their own post, but for now I’ll share some of our favorites here.

If you are looking for a great casual lunch place head to Market 50.  Grab a paper bag at the table and choose your meat, cheese, toppings etc. and turn in your bag and they will call you when your food is ready.  Market 50 also has coffee, smoothies and is a sweet little gift shop with local goods and fun souvenirs of your visit.

If you are looking for a local place to dine for lunch or dinner head across the street from Market 50 to 329 Bar and Grill.  A wide variety of options and everyone has loved their food every visit we’ve had.

If you are looking for coffee, ice cream and pastries head over to Common Ground located in an old fire station. This is a favorite of our boys!!!  While they also serve wine and beer, adults might prefer to visit Southern Hart Brewery to try out some local brews.  Southern Hart is family friendly in the early evening hours with a great dinner menu as well.
